"You probably just released more undead." Dunbar replies "You think your god will help you with that this time? I'm running low on spells." He turns his attention from the two bags and loads his light crossbow.

"We can but try." says Thaddeus. "Shall we take a peek or..." he glances around, "Was there more to do here?"
(OOC Do we wanna take a looksie in the bags first?)

As you discuss between yourselves, a dull thud hits the bronze door you both came from, as though some lumbering undead walked into it. A tense moment passes...
The ringed hand starts to turn.
There's no sound coming from the other side...yet.
OOC: Unless you open the door, you have essentially one round to move and act (for example, if you want to move to a more defensive position). After this, I'll take initiatives. Note that the entire room is difficult terrain. Battle map is forthcoming.

ooc - It looks like the bronze door on the left wall is the furthest from either of the doors we heard sounds from. If I'm not mistaken, Thaddeus is near the right hand marble door currently. Not sure where he found the bags in relation to any doors.
IC: Dunbar begins moving towards the bronze door that didn't have any sounds coming from it (the left one).

If we have a full round of actions, Thaddeus will move to be comfortably within 60ft of the point of ingress. Let's say 50ft from the doors, in plain sight. If that's within a single move action he'll ready an action to rebuke undead once the doors are breached and follow that up with an init roll.
Init:
[1]+1 = 2
1d20+1:
[
]
+1
= 2
Rebuke undead:
[9]+2 = 11
1d20+2:
[
]
+2
= 11
Rebuke damage (not actual damage):
[5, 2]+6 = 13
2d6+6:
[
]
+6
= 13
Rebuking summary.
I can rebuke any undeads of 4HD or lower.
I can rebuke 13 total HD of undead starting with the closest.
The effect of any undead rebuked by me are that they cower in fear in my presence and we get a +2 to hit them for 10 rounds.

OOC: Here's the blank map. Please give me the grid references where you would like to start. As a reference, at the point of when the undead were spawned in, Charon you are in K10 (ignore the door in that square, the map software had issues with the door placement...) and Grodech you are in H8.
Map (I'll replace this with your references then initiate combat. Apologies the corridors are crudely drawn, the software does not have angled corridors.):

Assuming the orientation is that we came in from the south, Thaddeus will be in G11.
If I misread and they're coming from the north I'll be in G9.

I believe we came into this room from the north door. I'm expecting them to come from both directions, as we heard the stone breaking from both. I'm unsure of which direction the sounds are currently coming from. Dunbar's movement will take him to E-10.

In which case I'll go G10, that way I can bag anyone coming in either door.

As G2 pushes on the door and meanders through, sensing the intruders that have awoken it, your readied action fires off. You utter your prayer, hold up your emblem...and the ghoul remains unfazed. (It rolled a nat 20 on its Turning save, so I'm afraid that fails Thaddeus; you'll act before it on the next turn due to the readied action).
It'll move to H9 and attempt a bite on Thaddeus. 13 vs AC. As it closes on your position and lowers its jaw to ready a bite, its shin hits a piece of debris from a bed and it goes slightly askew. It bites down on nothing but air.
Dunbar, your turn. The ringed door handle on the south door starts to turn...

Just for clarification. In 3.5 they don't get a save on turning. If they have 4hd or less, they are turned. If they have turn resistance, they are treated as having more HD for the purpose of turning. The only effect of being turned by Thaddeus is that we get a +2 to hit it.
https://www.d20srd.org/srd/combat/speci ... bukeUndead
(You were probably reading the 5e SRD, where they get a wis save instead of the player rolling a turn check and turn damage. They changed it cos they buffed turning to remove the upper limit so you can blast huge groups of undead apart regardless of how strong they are. That and to make it more consistent with existing rules so you don't have to use a lookup table every single time you do it. :P)
Its attack still stands though. :)

OOC: You have Dunbar in F10 - I had specified E10.
IC: Dunbar casts Burning Hands. The 15' cone of fire engulfs the ghoul, but not Thaddeus (9-F,G,H, 8-F,G, 7-F)
Damage:
[1, 1, 3, 3] = 8
4d4:
[

= 8
DC 14 reflex save for half

You had your cross bow here. Did you drop it and go for the Burning Hands?

He should be able to hold it with one hand while casting with the other, no? If not, then he will set the crossbow down to cast.

OOC: No, I can go with that. I just wanted to check given you had mentioned about the crossbow.
IC: Holding the crossbow in your left hand, the streams of fire from the fingers on your right hand stretch out and lick around the undead. You manage to aim it in a way so that it doesn't ignite the broken bits of wood on the floor, or your companion.
G2 rolled...a natural 1.
The flesh burns away under the heat, and as it screams in pain, the burning flesh releases that acrid smell that assaults the senses.
The southern door opens, and another Ghoul moves in.
G1 will move to I13 and attempt a jump to H11 to clear the debris in front of it, in an attempt to get closer. It just manages to avoid a piece that's sticking out in the air, and landing with a thud on your other side Thaddeus. It snarls as it fixes its two sunken eyes on you.
Consequently, it is your turn. Do you snarl back?

Thaddeus rolls his eyes at the snarling creature.
"
Please. I've seen uglier wenches at the brothel."
He lashes out with his nunchuks, a backhand blow aiming at its chops.

You hit the ghoul square in the noggin', and it makes a light thud sound. The Ghoul snarls in response as it lines up its next attack.
G2 attempts a full round attack; bite and two melee. 17 (bite), 2 and 15 (melee) vs your AC; all misses.
It seems to have badly timed its attack, as it hits nothing but air thanks to you twisting your upper body to put more momentum into your backhand blow on the other undead. The teeth come very close though, millimetres from your armour.
Dunbar, you're up.

You aim wide, and it dinks into the wall behind.
Ghoul 1 move to F11 and attempt a bite on Dunbar. Nat 20, not confirmed. That's 4 piercing damage. Please roll 2 Fortitude Saves.
As you fire your crossbow at the other undead, this ghoul spots an opportunity and suddenly moves closer to you with surprising quickness, despite the debris on the ground, and catches your hand as you're distracted. It bites down, and it bites down hard.
Will resolve Dunbar's saves first then it's Thaddeus.

Thaddeus, your nunchuck goes wide.
Dunbar, you're fine. You barely feel the paralysing agent or the disease; if anything anger grows more at the physical damage.
The undead looks momentarily confused as you shake it off, cursing under your breath. Some blood droplets go flying from your action; including one straight for Ghoul 2.
Ghoul 2 attempts a bite again on Thaddeus, but as it growls the flying blood drop from Dunbar hits it in the eye, causing it to involuntarily shut and misjudge its aim. Natural bloody 1 (quite literally).
Thaddeus, your turn.

Thaddeus swings his nunchucks around, coming fresh off the AOO, he whirls them around his head, into his left hand and then under his left shoulder, back into his right hand with an improved grip and some speed behind them. He whips the chucks out at G2, aiming for the jaw.
