Taking advantage of Ullo's efforts at keeping the bullywug busy, Kwelzucht is easily able to sneak in a quick jab with his sword before he makes his tactical adjustment.

The bullywug can't attack you all and by far the one he finds the most offensive would be the one who just smeared toxic bug goo all over him.
He whirls around to thrust his trident towards Gnutmyx.

19 to hit?
15 piercing damage if it does.

Behind him, C2 begins casting.

That rolls us back around to Bashnag.

Still tweaking the map. Latest feedback is that red enemy text is hard to see if you're colourblind. Yellowy/orange any better? Keep me posted. We'll tweak it til it works.

Animated, and with this battle music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Jmty_NiaXc

Seriously though, it looks much better. Thanks! Happy with changing the colour slightly if others prefer.

Bashnag will attack two-handed with the morningstar again against B1, and then afterwards draw his light mace (loaded on his belt; move action).

Morningstar:
[roll=129]1d20+11[/roll]

Damage:
[roll=130]1d8+7[/roll] Bludgeoning and Piercing.

OOC: I will use a charge of brute gauntlets on my next turn for damage, which will affect both weapons.
Spoiler
AC: 21
HP: 40/40
Morningstar and lightmace equipped
2 charges on healing belt
brute gauntlets to use on next turn

A big strike from Bashnag and the bullywug is reeling. He really felt that one. He makes a series of croaks as he retaliates.

15 to hit.

A big miss as he over extends in his fury. Gnutmyx is up.

I'm afraid a 14 isn't enough to determine what spell he's casting.
That is a free action though, so you may continue.

Gnutmyx will draw his mace and attack B2.

Extrapolating from the mess of a character sheet...

5 bab + 4 dex + 1 size - 1 Shield AC penalty = +9 to hit?

Attack roll 15 + 9 = 24
Damage = 1

¬¬

Gnutmyx pulls out his mace and gives the bullywug a tentative boop on the nose, or what he thought was its nose. The bullywug seems less than impressed with the goblin booping his crotch. He turns his attention that way.

C1's spell finishes casting. Splashing sounds can be heard in the swamp as the waters near Bashnag begin to churn.
From F and G 11, fiendish crocodiles will emerge to bite at Bashnag's feet.

24 to hit
8 piercing
and
12 to hit
Miss

C1 will then throw his spear at Bashnag.
18 to hit?
4 piercing if it hits

That brings us up to Maggot.

Dang, that bite from the croc hit harder than I thought.

Spear is a miss.

So Maggot is definately going to shoot at the Wullybug C1 in square 15F.

Attack:
[roll=132]1d20+9[/roll]

Damage:
[roll=133]1d6+1[/roll]

And he then reloads his weapon.

Ullo continues to attack B2.

Attack 1: [roll=134]1d20+5[/roll]
Damage: [roll=135]1d8+2[/roll]
Attack 2: [roll=136]1d20+4[/roll]
Damage: [roll=137]1d8+1[/roll]

If he hits, B2 is considered flanked by Ullo for the purposes of the next companion to attack him [Distracting Attack].
Spoiler
Full attack: +5/+4, 1d8+2, 1d8+1
AC: 23, Current HP: 46/50

[Might be a bit early to put this in, but it might not change much, and its good insurance for later. Also, re; the 19 attack against Gnutmyx; AC is 22 so not quite a hit that time around]

As Gnutmyx takes a spear to his shield from the bullywug, the goblin-thing can't help but wack back at the frog-thing with his own, much shorter stick. He snarls at the thought of chipping the symbol of Karrthragoth, and the only thing that'd be worse is getting it covered in bullywug. [Charon's post]

Assuming he doesn't move away before then, Gnutmyx turns to his thankfully unslimy ally and, putting his mace away, offers him the Very Limited Forgiveness of Karrthragoth - or something like that. [Upcoming turn action, unless it becomes impossible]

Maggot fires off his crossbow at C1. A hit, if only a minor wound.
Ullo lays into B2 dishing out a bigger slice of damage. Next character to make a melee attack against B2 gets a flanking bonus.

Kwelzucht is next up.

Kwelzucht focuses his attention to the Bullywug (C2) who is currently going through the motions of casting a spell. Must be some kind of summoning spell he thought, while he began spell-casting himself. One of his hands takes on a blue tint and starts to feel numb. At the end of his spell-casting, a blueish orb shoots from his palm to the Bullywug.

Ranged touch attack
[roll=139]1d20+8[/roll]

Damage
[roll=140]4d8[/roll]

Kwelzucht casts Lesser (but actually way better!) Orb of Cold. Could have been an Orb of Gold if he had the Ring of Mis-spelling.

AC: 20
HP: 27 / 48 (thanks for the future +14 healing, Rico!)

Concentration = 19

C2, close to finishing his spell, is focused entirely on the swampy waters where he intends to make his crocodiles appear. The lesser orb of cold catches him by surprise. He accidentally shivers, mispronouncing five syllables and fumbling the somatic gesture. His spell fizzles out.

Good save.

B2 will go for Gnutmyx as revenge for the crotch-booping.

That's a 20 to hit which I believe is reflected aside by Karrthragoth's might. It's actually pretty impressive seeing this smol goblin turn aside a bullywug trident so effortlessly, maybe he really is blessed.

C2 is gonna five foot step to N15 and hurl his spear at Kwelzucht for ruining his spell. I'm happy to say Ullo provides cover to his smaller companion thus +4 ac vs this attack.
21 to hit? Probably a miss but just in case, 5 piercing damage.

That brings us back around to Bashnag, will chuck up an updated map in a sec.

Squinted at the map a bit funny there, just to clarify, C2 will move 10ft to M15 not N15 before his spear throw, doesn't affect his action economy.

C1's spell finishes casting. Splashing sounds can be heard in the swamp as the waters near Bashnag begin to churn.
From F and G 11, fiendish crocodiles will emerge to bite at Bashnag's feet.
As the crocodile manages to get a bite in Bashnag's thigh, Bashnag bellows in pain. The bellow reverberates around the swamp, even louder than the initial roar only moments ago. The bellow suddenly changes tone as Bashnag flies into a rage and becomes visibly bigger as the adrenaline kicks in.

Enters rage (Rage: +4 STR, +4 CON, +2 will save, -2 AC. HP boost of 12 hp. Lasts 8 rounds)

New Strength modifier: +6
New HP: 44/52
New AC: 19

A charge of the Brute Gauntlets just for that extra oomph.

Against B1.
Morningstar:[roll=141]1d20+11[/roll]
Damage:[roll=143]1d8+9[/roll]

Also against B1, unless the morningstar kills them at which point this one will be against F1.
Light Mace:[roll=142]1d20+9[/roll]
Damage:[roll=144]1d6+6[/roll]

Spoiler

Rounds for rage: 8/8.
weapon rolls are extra +2 on attack and dmg.
AC: 19 (21-2 for rage)
HP: 44/52 (32/40 +12 for rage)
Morningstar and lightmace equipped.
2 charges on healing belt.
2 charges left on gloves.
3 charges left on boots.

Damage on mace is 1d6 +3 (half str mod) + 2 morale from brute gauntlets for a total of 10 damage.

Bashnag enters his wild rage, raises both of his weapons and... bashes. Both weapons slam into the bullywug's head simultaneously, the pressure bulging his head like a balloon. His eyes pop and unspeakable goo explodes out all over Bashnag. The rubbery body slumps to the floor.

Gnutmyx is up. He turns round, mutters a prayer about how great Karrthragoth is and slaps some healing on Kwelzucht. 14 points. The strength of Gnutmyx's faith fills you, reminding you just how awesome Karrthragoth is and how lucky you are to be his servant.

The crocs bite Bashnag.

Natural 1
and
17 to hit

The crocs *fail* to bite Bashnag.

Too late to save his friend and having already thrown his spear, C2 will move forwards to G13.

He'll cast defensively,
Concentration = 20
Inflict Serious Wounds
25 Vs touch AC (23 if you can't be flanked)
A hit either way.
17 negative energy damage

As he touches you, Bashnag, the wounds you have taken, that healed over in your rage, burst back open.

Maggot is up.

I knew I fucked up adding the modifiers. I'll amend it for future reference, although not sure when I'll next use the gloves.

Some people, like Bashnag, were clearly chosen for this mission by Karrthragoth because they are very good at bashing things. Karrthragoth clearly had other skills in mind when he chose Maggot. As his crossbow bolt sails into the swamp water, Maggot can console himself with knowing that he will no doubt prove vital later in the mission. For now, let Bashnag have his playtime.

Ullo lands a strong, precise attack on B2, then loses his footing on the swampy mud and misses the follow up swing.

B2 is still standing, Kwelzucht is up.

Yeah, thanks to the +4 cover it's a miss.

Kwelzucht spots an interesting opportunity, as one of the Bullywugs (C2) makes his way over to Bashnag. The sorcerer gives chase (moving to G14) and flanks him.

Eager to get in and do some stabbing, Kwelzucht skirts around the trunk of the tree and comes up behind C2 as his attention is held by Bashnag. Kwel takes a swing with his sword but the blade is turned aside by the bullywug's hide armour, or maybe the thick blubbery flesh beneath, who knows.

With that, B2 will turn slightly to take a thrust at Ullo.

17 to hit.
Ullo is already anticipating the jab from the trident and parries it on the downswing from his attack.

C2 will five foot step to L15 and cast defensively
Concentration = 35 (WOW XD )

Inflict Serious Wounds on Ullo

9 Vs touch AC
Pretty sure that's a miss. Ullo is like a whirlwind, twisting his blade from the original parry so the crossguard slams into the bullywug's wrist, denying the touch attack.

That rolls us back around to Bashnag. Updated map incoming.
