Just a heads up.
After discussing it with the server host, we think the recent slowdowns are being caused by bot attack. I'm gonna start by enabling Cloudflare and see if that resolves anything.
This should be fairly smooth, but I don't know if you'll notice any downtime. If you use a high security browser, like me, you might have to tick a box when you access the site.
It's probably gonna happen tomorrow or Friday, it depends when I get time to figure out how it works.

When it kicks in, the forums will not be accessible from China. So if you go to China on holiday you are SOL. ;)

I notice we've got some more slowdown due to hitting the proc limits again. Looks like ChatGPT bot was to blame, so I've banned it.
Hopefully this will settle down over the next 24 hours. I shall continue to monitor the traffic as best I can.

Banned Vietnam and Hong Kong and set a general bot banning rule in Cloudflare. Let me know if you have any access issues.

Still getting swarmed so I've blocked India, Bangladesh, TTNET in Turkey, and a VPN provider (cloudvider) in the Netherlands, and Digital Ocean and One Cable in the USA.
