OOC Thread

Post by Charon »

Brand new OOC thread. Please browse the old OOC thread and make any notes of information you think you need as it will not be copied over. Thanks.

Before I trawl through looking... does anyone remember what specifically happened to the Cursed Cookbook? Does Joldag have it? How is it stored?

I was looking through the old threads for what happened to Zaria's hat of disguise (it was confiscated by the guard along with all of her other possessions) and I recall reading that Joldag turned it over to the academy (locked in a box) to see if any information could be gleaned, and then it was to be destroyed.

That was certainly the intention. I'm just struggling to find the exact moment he handed it over to the headmaster.

Yeah - it seems the PDFs of the previous chapters are not set to allow a search to work.

It's implied here:
https://dndgamer.net/forum/viewtopic.ph ... book#p7846

Joldag was going to get it destroyed before we left for the sinkhole. I think everyone (as players) just assumed that got done since you started us out on the next chapter with leaving the city. Sali was going to shop for the supplies while Joldag had the book destroyed. We handled a lot of the shopping stuff ooc, so maybe it was forgotten?

I have a new link which should be searchable thanks to Ricochet.

Re: the book. Yeah, it seems there was some implication but no actual handover. In which case, I may just retcon that it did get overlooked as it would be an interesting way of bringing Ricochet's character in. I'll check that Gryndl is cool with it first but it would a very nice 'in'.

I emailed Gryndel shortly after the forum move, but I haven't heard back from him yet. I know he was going through a lot of RL tribulations (as he stated in the old OOC thread).

FYI - I heard from Gryndel. He's moved and started a new job. He's described his return as "soonish".

It seems I forgot to update this. At last check, Gryndel was estimating October for a possible return:

"Sorry bud, my life has changed in many ways here. I simply don't have time right now to play here anymore. I'm doing well, and still plan on semiretirement in October next year. Maybe then I can return to online gaming. "

Roger that. Kind of in a dnd drought at the moment. Both games here dropped off and my RL group is on hiatus. Now I'll never get round to playing my pastamancer spaghetti chef with his signature magic meatball spell. ¬¬
