Sali Shaw is the only daughter of Nychia and Samuel Shaw. She has 5 older brothers - Drake, Norlan, Dwight, Norian and Sam Jr. Her father owns Shaw's Lock Shop in Se'traal. Not particularly attractive, Sali prefers to stay hidden in the shadows. She spent the last several years helping her father run the lock shop, when she wasn't out getting herself into trouble. Her experience in the shop gave her a few skills that she had been putting to use while she hung out with some more shady characters from school.
Unhappy with her prospects for a marriage and a family of her own, her parents were set on arranging a match for her with the butcher's oldest boy - a brutish neanderthal that she couldn't stand. She had finally had enough of her parents meddling and decided to follow an adventuring wizard that had come into the shop for assistance. He had been nice to her and told her stories of his exploits. He was headed north to Talon's Reach and she thought it would be a good time to get out of the city. She slipped out that night and found the wizard at his inn and begged him to take her with him.
